What All I Do These Days?

I am finally done with my exams and now it's time to celebrate! Yes, it is definitely time to celebrate since festive season is going on, a season full of joy and merriment! I totally love it! My exams got over on 22nd October, so it's not very recent but my vacation is ongoing so, I'm really ecstatic. I was inundated with so much work which included my classes, school work, homework, co-curricular activities and everything, since I am in 9th standard right now, there are quite a lot of things to do but after all, it goes well.

In my vacation, I have done some such things like 'Comic writing', I am writing comics these days, quilling and sketching which I usually do. My mother observes a fast on the account of 'Karwa Chauth' every year and for that, every year I draw mehndi on her hands, which is a tradition. This year also, I drew mehndi and it came out quite well. I have also collected a few paper cuttings of dress designs that I have made (I love to do dress designing) and the next thing that I'm going to mention... almost every youngster loves to do this, I love to listen to music and songs on Spotify by some of my most favorite singers: Shakira, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, Charlie Puth, Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa and many others actually. I have a playlist in which I have my favorites, the best ones!

Recently, it was my birthday and I was as mad as a hatter for this one day, I feel birthday is something very special and I'm sure almost everyone feels the same, as it makes one feel so unique. I believe my birthday is that one single day in the whole year when everyone plans to celebrate just for me, one gets so many blessings and wishes and... the best thing, partying with the family, friends and loved ones. This time, I made numerous plans for celebrating, I was a bit confused too, but finally when the day was really close, I caught cold which led to viral fever. This happened almost two days before my birthday which really pissed me off and I then lost the hope of any celebration for my birthday (one should not get too excited for something). Finally, it was the day... I was sick and half of the day passed answering calls and texts which too was an interesting part as I got many wishes and calls, then around 5 in the evening, I observed some hushed voices and whispers. My mother decorating the table and cleaning the floor once again, my father decorating the wall and my brother locked my room's door to decorate the room, they got a gift for me obviously without my knowledge and he was making a card as well, he was not letting me in. I understood there was some surprise which was being planned for me.

Finally, I got ready for everything and... voila! I saw the beautiful decoration in the living room, we did not do too much of it this time as I was not very well and it was not very safe to go out and celebrate too, it was better to relish the day at home itself with my loving family. I saw my name beautifully written with gorgeous flowers on the dining table. It said "HBD VAANI". The table was embellished with some beautiful lights on the edges of the table which shone exquisitely when all the other lights were switched off. I then caught sight of the beautifully decorated wall with some old pictures of mine. I had received many gifts too. My parents brought the cake about which I was clueless, I was really ecstatic. It was all so gratifying. My brother gifted me a beautiful card and his 'special' gift! We celebrated and it was a splendid day, one more birthday and this one was remarkable too.

Well! I think I've summarized almost everything that I did this month. Now, I'm going to enjoy my most favorite festival of the year, the best one... DIWALI! It's a season of celebration, lights and joy! I want to enjoy it to the fullest, I'm sure you all are ready for it too... wishing all of you a very happy and prosperous Diwali!!!
