Who Am I?

   The question 'Who Am I' seems very simple to answer, yet when I give it a thought, who I actually am, I realize it's not as facile as I expected it to be. I know myself as any other teenager dealing with this world, but this is not all, who one actually is? It's a big question as this questions one's entity. I'm not quite being a preacher here, but that is how a learned person would answer this question. For my age though, I think knowing about myself and knowing what I have to do is fine. 
    I am Vaani, a teenager ( I like to mention this ). I am charming, curious and ambitious. I live in Pune with my parents and my brother. I like to do creative things, like writing songs and singing, drawing, quilling. I love singing, it is my passion... something that I enjoy from the core of my heart, it gives me peace. I love listening to music and keeping up with the latest English songs and Shawn Mendes is my favorite singer! This is a fact that listening to 5-6 songs a day can actually reduce depression in people, I totally believe it because it makes the soul sing with joy. I have a YouTube channel called 'Creative Star Vaani' where I write  my songs, sing and post them. 
   Secondly, I adore travelling, it just gives you a big picture of the world, teaches you so much and shows you what a small place you occupy in the world! How small your problems are! To me, travelling means a lot, going to different places, knowing more, exploring and bravo! Having captured all those beautiful moments in your little camera, having your heart overwhelmed with the cherishing experiences and those unforgettable memories hung on the walls of your very own room as snaps... oh! My heart swells up with bosom when I think of all this. It makes me so ecstatic.
   I am fond of drawing, writing and reading too! I believe being artistic, imaginative and creative is a very important aspect of our lives. When I'm a bit off, I feel like drawing my thoughts, filling them with colors of beauty and glee, I most often doodle on sheets when I'm free and also, I design dresses using paper. Writing is another activity that shapes one's personality very well, I keep writing on different topics, sometimes on my everyday life, my daily routine and on many other topics like a teenager's life, some struggles and some universal problems. I enjoy reading, to make my writing effective and of course because I enjoy it, it is so much fun. Some of my favorite authors include, O. Henry, R.K. Narayan, Roald Dahl, William Wordsworth, Ernest Hemingway and Sarojini Naidu. I like to read fictional stories, many a times, biographies and motivational stories too.
   I do not like watching too many movies, but I never miss one if it is related to fiction, motivation, education, science, biography, fiction or drama/comedy. I watch movies once in a while. I really like to participate in all curricular activities in my school, like debates, drama, extempore, quizzes and many more. Drama is again something which refreshes me completely and I love theatre. My subjects of interest are English literature, science and psychology. Teaching is my passion, I teach my younger brother and it is a fantastic experience, as a teacher is always in the process of learning too. It is just so relaxing, that might sound a bit funny but yes, when I come to know that I have transferred my little knowledge to someone else, I've helped him/her in some way, I feel super contented, teaching is definitely not a piece of cake, a teacher does a lot of hard work to make the child understand a concept. I love to make friends and I have many though. My school is a place I'm really attached to. I deify my teachers and my school. My teachers love me a lot too and have always guided me very well.
   Who doesn't like to get the best of everything? Everyone has dreams and wishes... I too have some, for which I'm working constantly. I want to have a great career as a student, which probably everyone wants and perhaps that is the reason why everyone is competing so hard nowadays. After I finish my twelfth grade, I wish to get admission in some of the best universities, Ivy league colleges and then pursue my career further in the fields which interest me, becoming what? That would not be the exact question for me as I'm yet not very clear with that. I'm not exactly sure, instead a bit confused as to what profession I should choose, which many of my classmates are and I suppose that is not very important right now since there's ample of time for that and mainly, I need to work for getting through the process. Working for success is more important than just dreaming of it. I am trying my best to accomplish all my goals one fine day. Let's see what future holds for me! 
   This was my first time writing a blog, I have started this journey well and will continue to share my thoughts with you all revealing a lot more about myself. It was a start and I hope to bring out a lot better next time.
